Re: APM No Longer Exist in Ogun.

Our attention has been called to a cheap reaction by some interlopers towards the realignment of APM Leaders in Ipokia LG to the mainstream APC. The publication claims "following the collapse of its structure in December 2019, the political class in Ogun State has been told that APM under which Hon Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade contested for governorship is no longer in existence".

It states further, "All former members of APM took part in the last APC membership revalidation exercise across Ogun State and till date carry the membership card of APC with pride." It also claims the held convention at an unknown place, producing who and who as their Party Excos at the State and Local Government levels?

From the above, it is crystal clear that the APM Leaders are never sincere in collapsing their structure into the APC as they only came to see if they could unsettle the peaceful and speedily progressing APC Ogun Chapter. They became disgruntled when they couldn't achieve their dastard plans. How could those claiming to be in APC hold a parallel Congress? Why are they silent about the venue of the said Congress they held and the party officers produced by their Congress?

President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR is a foremost leader of APC in Nigeria and in Ogun State, the Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR is the Leader of the Party while Chief Yemi Sanusi is the State Chairman of APC in the State. Anyone who is outside this hierarchy duly inaugurated by the National Leadership of APC can never claim to be APC member as falsely claimed by the APM.

It will interest the public to note that these disloyal elements have been holding separate meetings at Ward levels in some areas especially Ipokia LG under the name of an individual as if a Political party is one man's personal business venture. We can only congratulate Ogun State people for their courage to have rejected them in 2019 else, we would all have been actioned today. For anyone to be in APC in Ipokia Local Government today, he must be under the constitutionally recognized leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun and Chief Yemi Sanusi.

Many of the erstwhile leaders of APM have personally abhorred the selfish leadership of their former party leadership and decided to go with the mainstream APC due to the enabling environment being created by Governor Dapo Abiodun and various projects being executed in Ipokia LG and across Ogun State.

These seasoned politicians have seen clearly that one man is only using their destinies for his selfish gains and will repeat the failed strategy of 2019. This informed their early moves to the APC to work for the continuity of a responsible, responsive and altruistic Governor who is spreading development across the State. Within two years of his administration, the Governor fixed the age-long Odo Afa road which their leaders could not fix for solid eight years. He is attending to other roads, schools and many of our healthcare facilities which were all abandoned previously.

As ingrate as the APM crooners are, they berate the quality of the Leaders who have taken a bold step in their political careers all because they stopped being misled when they referred to those leaders including former Local Government Chairmen and Commissioners as being cheap and procured. Well, it is not surprising that 'use and dump', character assassination and cheap blackmail remain their identities.

In conclusion, it will be appreciated if those misleading uninformed citizens desist from such acts and toe the path of honour by recognizing the duly constituted authority in Ogun State APC being that Gov. Dapo Abiodun is the leader of the party in the State and the party chairman under the leadership of Chief Yemi Sanusi. The All Progressives Congress in Ogun State is ever ready to accommodate all those who abandoned ship and are genuinely remorseful of their past actions (and inactions). Those holding parallel meetings in their wards and private residences should be advised to jettison such.
