In an inspiring display of commitment to community development, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, the Member of the House of Representatives for Ifo Ewekoro Federal Constituency, has successfully empowered over 7,000 constituents through various training programs and substantial support initiatives. The efforts are tailored to uplift the lives of individuals across the constituency, fostering a spirit of self-reliance and economic growth.
The empowerment initiative was orchestrated by the Center for Management, Human Development, and Strategic Empowerment for Youths and Women, with Rawlec Investment Limited serving as the consultant. This collaboration has proven instrumental in facilitating training programs that equip participants with the necessary skills and resources to thrive in today’s challenging economic landscape.
In a recent event, the Center for Development, in conjunction with Excellent Speed Integrated Services Limited, executed comprehensive Training Empowerment Programs specifically for the Obada-Oko community and its surroundings. These programs, facilitated by Rt. Hon. Isiaka, are designed to enhance the skills of participants, ensuring they are well-prepared to embark on various entrepreneurial ventures.
Furthermore, the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority played a pivotal role by supplying and distributing essential food and beverage equipment to small-scale business ow

The distribution of materials marked a significant milestone in the empowerment efforts. Among the items provided were 100 deep freezers, 200 fertilizer and herbicide packages for farmers, 10 motorcycles, 5 tricycles, and cash gifts aimed at supporting over 200 small-scale businesses. Additionally, training sessions were conducted for 300 individuals, equipping them with startup capital to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys. The initiative also included a Christmas cash gift distributed to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the League of Imams in Ifo and Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Community Development Associations (CDAs), 10 support groups, and various community segments, including the Hausa Community and traditional rulers.
In his address to the beneficiaries, Rt. Hon. Isiaka emphasized the importance of using the provided materials for their intended purposes, urging them not to sell the equipment but to invest in their future. He reminded the youths that “an idle hand is the devil’s workshop,” encouraging them to engage in productive activities and steer clear of social vices, drug abuse, and hooliganism.
Looking ahead, Rt. Hon. Isiaka pledged to continue advocating for the needs of his constituency. He promised to sponsor people-oriented bills and support motions that deliver tangible benefits to Nigerians within the Green Chambers of the Federal House of Representatives, drawing from his extensive experience of over 10 years as a competent lawmaker.
As the empowerment programs unfold, the positive impact on the lives of constituents in Ifo and Ewekoro Federal Constituency is evident, fostering hope and encouraging a culture of entrepreneurship and community development. The initiatives led by Rt. Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka are not only transforming lives but also laying the foundation for a prosperous and self-sufficient future for the region.
