ABEOKUTA — The immediate past Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has declared his intention to seek for re-election to the office of  Executive Chairman under the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, (APC ) in the forthcoming Local Government Chairmanship Election slated for November 16th 2024.

Amb. Ogunsola, who presented himself to the Apex Leaders and top echelon in the political circle of APC, Obafemi Owode local government explained that his desire to re-run for this position is burn out of love, dedication and continuous commitments in discharging quality dividends of democracy across wards, villages and towns, 3 years of his last administration as a case study.

He disclosed that good governance required experience, as he is running for the position with intension to consolidate on his achievements and spread more goodies to his people, further to the delivery of policies, security of lives and property and delivery of developmental projects which impacted lives of the indigenes and residents in the council area positively.

"I'm here today to meet with our Apex leaders formally to make known my good intention and aspiration to re- run for the chairmanship position of our dear local government in the coming local government election and also to seek their supports and endorsement as I can not do it without them", said Amb. Ogunsola .

The party leaders in their different remarks commended Amb.Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA for all the landmark projects and achievements recorded while serving despite the financial strength of the council.

They further assured that if given the opportunity for second term, he will surely turn things around for more betterments of all.
